Palmetrol
"Palmetrol" is a handy, intuitive software application designed to work on the popular Palm Pilot personal digital assistant (PDA) devices. Palmetrol allows the operator to communicate with Teletrol i-VAVs and TSC controllers via a room sensor serial connection or directly through the RS-232 connector on the TSC.
Using Palmetrol, the operator can view or modify TSC parameters and even perform a complete VAV box air balancing routine on a TSC LE, AX or i-VAV controller. All this without a PC or PC software! Palmetrol supports all of Teletrol's TSC sequences and is simple to operate using the Palm's touch-screen interface.
There are many great uses for this product.
- Satisfy a spec requirement that otherwise would require a laptop and TSC View.
- Sell, rent or loan Palmetrol to balancers to make it quicker, easier and less expensive to commission jobs. Very little training needed.
- Get additional revenues selling to existing end users as a service tool.
- Use as a service tool for your company technicians.
Palmetrol is sold as a package consisting of a Palm IIIxe, a custom serial cable and a single license of the Palmetrol application preloaded. The list price is $1,300 with a 50% multiplier (net $650) for Teletrol authorized dealers. Other hardware/software combinations are available upon request. Currently the software works and has been tested on the Palm III, IIIc, IIIx, IIIxe, and VIIx. Please note, the software is licensed for use on, and electronically tied to, a single Palm device.
